Weekend of April 27th - 29th
I had a big week and weekend! First, I went for a walk without stopping and laying down in the middle of the street. The plot continues.....(insert evil doggy laugh here). Mom and Dad have no clue that I'm walking because I don't want to be outside all day! I'm a puppy after all. I should be sheltered from the elements. However, I do have to say that the puppy pool is kind of cool.
I also went to my first softball game this week. It was so much fun. Dad had a game and Mom and I went to support him. It was so much fun. People petted me and I got to run around on the practice field. I was the hit of the game. Too bad that Dad's team lost or it would have been a perfect night. I get to go back next week too! Yippie!
As for the weekend, I went to vet to get my nails clipped. I weigh 40 pounds now! I'm growing so much that the people at the vet couldn't believe it. I also got to try out my new cool seat belt harness. It keeps me on the passenger side of Mom's car. I don't know why I can't just sit in her lap while she drives.
And I met my half brother (same dad, different mom) at the pet store. His name was Jager and he is 3 weeks older than me. It was so much fun to play with a puppy my own size. Even though we are half brothers, we look completely different. He's much more slender and has a thinner head than me. He's also a little lighter color than me, but so much fun to play with.
Lastly, I went on my first hike. It was kind of hot and it was a long 2 mile hike for Mom and me. All up hill! Why so many hills? But I was able to see lots of other dogs and play with them. I wouldn't mind going again, but maybe when it's not so hot. There are perks to it being hot though, when we came back to the house Mom and Dad sprayed me with that water thing that shoots out water. I love that thing! I got soaked....it was a blast!
With all of this fun, I have been sleeping all the way through the night. Hopefully I don't jinx that because Mom and Dad seem to like it when I don't get up in the middle of the night.
