The Smartest Puppy EVER needs a new plan. Mom carried me to the end of the block and made me walk back to the house. She's clever....hmmm. Guess I'm back to chasing Mele and figuring out how to rebel.

Back to plotting my rebelling....

Ok...The World's Cutest Puppy EVER got his butt chewed out by Mom - The Ruler of the Universe. Man is she tough! I can't get away with anything...I can't chew, I can't have accidents in the house, I can't beat up on Mele, I can't eat hair, I can't do anything! But I have a plan....walks. I can refuse to walk on the leash.

Mom left for LA this morning. She has a meeting down there, but will be working from home this afternoon. I can't wait. It will be nice to have her home a little longer today....even if I'm still in my playpen while she's working.

Dad is becoming my new best friend. I like to follow him everywhere and he likes playing with me too! However he won't let me beat up on Mele. That girl is still kicking my butt. I almost lost an ear today and she got praised for it. If I do that I get yelled at. Girls....they get away with everything! Guess I just have to chew on my toys and not on Mele.

I started getting a little attitude today. After all, I am the cutest puppy ever! But Mom seems determined to keep me in my place. Doesn't she realize who runs this joint? Doesn't she realize that I am the one who is cute and lovable and everyone wants? Well...she is bigger than me, feeds me, and takes me out in the middle of the night...maybe I should back off....nah I'm a puppy this is what I should be doing...watch out world here I come!

I had a visitor today after work. Lisa Melton, a friend of Mom and Dad's came over to see me. She took pictures of me and played lots with me. I can't wait for other people to come visit. I have a whole host of visitor pleasing tricks down...puppy dog eyes = ooh's and aww's, tilting the head = petting and maybe a kiss on the head, laying down with my head between my front paws = a sucker that will get on the floor so I can climb all over them. This is great! I can't imagine what will happen when I learn real tricks.

Chasing Mele has become my favorite pastime. But I need to show her who is boss....or at least I thought I did...she may be small but man can she body slam a little pup. Thank goodness I have a hard head. I have to keep trying this, but for today I think I'll let her win. Plus Mom gets REALLY mad when I chew on her ears, legs, and tail. Gotta go take a nap...puppy life is hard!

Today was my first day by myself during the day. Mom and Dad have to go back to work. I thought the big, sad, puppy eyes would convince them to stay but they left anyway. My playpen is lots of fun. I can still talk to Mele throughout the day. However I really don't like it when she puts her little paw through the holes in my playpen and smacks me on the head. I'll have to make a note to chase her a little more today when I get out of this thing.

SURPRISE! Dad came home for lunch. How exciting! He came home to feed me and let me out. I ate all of my food and got to play with Mele. I also got to run around outside and Dad even took me for a walk. Dad's super cool!

After Dad went back to work, I was back in the playpen. But it doesn't seem so bad now. It will only be a little while longer and both of them will be back. I am going to see if they will take me for a walk tonight. That's lots of fun.

Mom came home first today and I was very happy to see her! She cooked dinner...not sure what that is but it smells really good. When Dad came home we played while Mom finished dinner. I'm not sure what happened because I fell asleep, but they seems full and happy when I finally work up a couple hours later.

I also got my first present from someone other than Mom and Dad. My new friend Kata, who lives next door, gave me a card and toys. The toys are really fun to play with and the green one is one of my favorite toys.

Also I have a new favorite show....Jack Bauer is awesome. Maybe when I grow up I can save the world too.

Got to get back to 24....

This is the last full day with Mom and Dad until next weekend. It has been a lot of fun having them around all day. I'm going to miss them tomorrow when they are at work. In the meantime though I'm getting use to my new playpen. At first I cried because I wanted to be with Mom and Dad. But soon I realized that it was fun to have a place of my own and settled into my new home.

I also found out today that I am very photogenic. I must be with all the pictures that Mom was taking of me. She posted them on the web and you can look at them on the link at the side. I also got to see my neighbors again. They are so nice. They hold and pet me and think I'm just adorable.

I also slept much longer during the night. Mom was glad because getting up 10,000 times a night wasn't giving her much sleep. But as a big boy I'm learning to sleep a little longer. Plus I am loving my new home.

Must go chase Mele more....later.

I'm starting to get use to my new home. I slept a little longer last night and only had to have Mom sleep with me once. I'm such a big boy!

I really like playing with my new sister, Mele. She is lots of fun and I really enjoy chasing her around the house. Emily still isn't interested in playing with me. But seems to enjoy me distracting Mele long enough for Emily to climb onto Mom's lap.

Today was another first for me. Dad, Mom, and me went to Starbucks. I was the hit of the town. Everyone stopped to talk to me and pet me. We walked down to the pet store, but it was closed. But it didn't matter because I had fun walking on my leash. I'm still not that use to the car, but I'm sure as I get bigger (and use to Dad's driving) I'll be able to keep my balance.

I'm out for now...must chase Mele some more. Talk to you later!

Day two at my new home. Mom and Dad seem to be very tired today...I have no clue why, I slept great last night.

Today was another day of new things to experience. I went to the vet for my checkup for the first time. I was the hit of the vet. Everyone ohh'd and ahh'd over me being so cute. The vet tech even 'doggy napped' me for a few minutes to show me off to all the staff.

I am not so sure about car rides yet. Dad has this "dog sling" in the back seat just for me. Aunt Susan bought it for me. But I prefer to sit on Mom's lap in the front. After all I'm so cute, she can't resist plus I need to milk it for as much as I can before I grow up and can't do that anymore.

I also found a playmate. Mele is one of my sisters. (Emily isn't so friendly to me.) Anyway, Mele likes to play with me and we chase each other around the house a lot. It's tons of fun and makes my parents laugh a lot....probably because my legs are still short and I hop more than run.

Nightime tonight was better than last night. I didn't cry as much, but still needed Mom to sit by my crate until I fell asleep. It also helps that I have one of Dad's shirts and Mom's sock to sleep with too.

Talk to you tomorrow,
Logan

Today was a big day for me. I met my new family. But let's start at the beginning....

My new parents came today to Lodi to pick me out. It was a tough choice because there were 7 boys to choose from. All of us were really sleepy when they arrived, but once we were awake my new parents could see each one of us. I was really excited because they looked like really cool parents, so I did my best to show off and act like a good boy.

My biggest littermate was eliminated first from the group. That left 6 and my chances were getting better. As the process went on, it took about 1 1/2 hours, I was finally chosen as the newest addition to their family. My breeder then gave me my first bath (in the sink) as Dad videotaped the whole process.

On the ride home I was very tired. It was a big day for me, my first bath, leaving my littermates, new parents, first car ride. When we finally got home I learned that I had 2 bigger sisters. They are cats...but really at this age who can tell the difference.

I quickly learned my first command, Come. But it wasn't really that hard, after all when I come when I'm called I get petted.

The first night was interesting. I spent it in my new crate. But I missed my littermates and cried a lot. However, my Mom was great because she sat beside me until I fell asleep. (She did this a few times throughout the night.) But it helped me a lot and I started getting use to my new home.

See you tomorrow,
Logan

P.S. I got this idea from my Aunt Susan. Her friend has a blog, you can check it out at
