I would like to go on record that I am a puppy. I like to play. I like to run. I like to chase the ball. I am also a boy. I like to get dirty. I like to grunt. I like to do boy things. I do not like to be told sappy girly stories about when I was little and how big I've become. And how wonderful I am. (Ok I like that.) And how loved I am. (Well, I like that too.) But I don't like it when Mom tells me this while petting my head and lulls me to sleep. Who does that!?!?!?!?!

It's a mean trick that all Moms use to get their kids to do what they want. And I for one won't stand for it! And as soon as I figure out how to counter it, I'm going to tell kids and dogs everywhere how to escape the trance.

I'm beat today. Mom made me train all day today. I had to Heel when we went for our walk. And she made me do it the whole time! And then we came back from our walk and she made me Sit, Lay Down, and Stay outside with distractions. And then if that wasn't enough, she made me Lay Down and then Stay and then Come while she was around the corner of the house and I couldn't see her. It was sooooooooo hard.

I was so tired from all of it that I didn't even want to chase the ball. However, it is the ball and I love the ball so I did chase it a little, but I wasn't as enthusiastic as I usually am. I was so tired that I slept through Dad's alarm. Training is rough I tell ya. But Mom says that I need to do this to be the perfectly trained. She says that will keep me safe and that everyone loves a perfectly trained dog. And since everyone loves me now, just imagine how much more I'll be loved when I'm perfectly trained. This is going to be a gold mine!
