Logan the Puppy

Today was a great day. It was a brisk day but still warm enough to enjoy the sun. Now for all of my friends and relatives in the snow belt....well you should live here.....it's much warmer!

To show just how great of a day it was, I posed for a picture for Mom. I'm so happy (and a little tired) in this picture. We walked a lot and I got to see lots of stray cats...which I didn't eat thank you very much!

After getting home I took a long nap. It was a long walk and there was just so much to see and sniff that it wore me out. Well now off to watch my favorite movie again...Must Love Dogs.

I have an ear infection and it sucks! I have to have ear drops and ear squishy stuff and I hate it! Plus it makes me smell funny. Just around my ears...but still...how am I suppose to be a love bug when I have smelly ears?!?!

Being good all the time is hard to do! Why doesn't anyone realize that? I got yelled at for not listening. It's not really my fault after all I just wanted to play. Is that such a crime?

[Note from Mom: It's not a crime if you listen and stop acting like a crazy dog after we had already played for a half hour.]

Anyway, I am now pouting on my pad. Laying here not having any fun. Hoping Dad will come save me and we can start playing before Mom tells him I was a bad dog. Where is Mele when I need her....if Mele was here she would sit on Mom and put her to sleep ASAP because she is tryptophan kitty. Then I could play all I want while Mom was asleep. Hmmm.....maybe this is a good reason to not treat Mele as a chew toy so she will come out and put Mom to sleep. I'll have to think about that one a a little.....

I need to lose some weight. I was doing so well. Walking everyday. Eating a low fat diet. And then today...today I went to the vet and got weighed. I am 91.1 pounds! How I jumped from 80 pounds I do not know! Especially considering that my tummy area has become more toned. But needless to say it's going somewhere so therefore we need to step it up and start losing some of this extra meat!

What happens when Mom gets a bad idea and follows through with it? Fabulous entertainment! Let me set the stage....Mom comes out to my dog run in her yoga attire (she had just Zen'd out and maybe this is where the idea came from). I thought, "How great! Mom is here to play with me!" But then she tells me that she is going to move my dog house from outside the dog run to inside my pen since I have stopped chewing on things.

Now that the stage is set....Mom didn't quite realize that the dog house roof is wider than the fence opening when she started this adventure. When she realized this I tried to tell her that it wouldn't work and to wait for Dad, but she decided against this great advice. So I picked up a tennis ball and sat back for the ride.

While I was looking adorable holding my tennis ball and trying to distract Mom so she would play with me, Mom decided to try and lift the dog house over the fence. That didn't get too far because the dog house is made out of solid wood and even though Mom is strong...she's not that strong. She then proceeded to climb into the dog house and try to lift it over the fence...this is when I wish I had a video camera (and thumbs to operate it)!

Mom climb into the dog house and I thought "Great! We'll both get inside." She then promptly threw me and my tennis ball out of the house. She then stood up and balancing the dog house on her head and lifting the bottom with her hands, tried to lift the house over the fence. I barked to try and guide her but she just was not listening!

Needless to say that the dog house is still outside of my dog run. And in addition, Mom was covered with spider webs and dead leaves which were inside the dog house. I thought it was a ton of fun, but for some reason Mom didn't seem to be having that great of time.

I smell yummy! I got a much need bath yesterday. I love getting a bath! I go to the pet bath and get to see tons of friends. I also get petted and get treats from the nice people who work there too. It's the best!

For all my other four legged friends out there I want to give you a lesson in Leash Safety. The leash is great to keep you from wondering off and getting hurt. It's also very fun to carry in your mouth and walk yourself. However, be warned that getting too excited when Dad comes home and jumping around in circles is not good....did you know that you can actually hog tie yourself by doing this? Anyway, don't make the same mistakes that I did.

Fortunately, Mom didn't have the camera with her so no photos. Which is really good because that would have been embarrassing!

Life is good! I had the best day today outside in the perfect California weather. I then played catch with Mom with the tennis ball which is so much fun. But now I dog tired (forgive the pun) and snoring like there is no tomorrow.

And just in case you didn't know, the full moon is out and is beautiful! So head outside and check it out, just don't howl at it or the neighbors will call the police...so I hear.

First, I would like to wish my Aunt Trisha a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Woof! She is 29 years old, just like Mom is (Mom made me say that).

Second, I am the most spoiled puppy ever. Normally puppies don't brag about these things since you're suppose to be modest and all, but let's face it....I have a sweet life! How do I know I'm spoiled? I got my pictures on the mantle. Yep. Front and center. I don't see the cats having their pictures up there.

Third, now that it seems like I have regular access (cross your paws) to Blogger, I hope everyone will come back and read it on a regular basis. After all, who has better adventures than me (other than that Marley dog who got a movie made of his life).

Happy New Year everyone! I am so happy that everyone came over to see me last night. It was great to bring in the new year with so many people...especially ones who think I'm cute.

Mom and Dad were great and let me stay out with the everyone all night! I even got to stay up until 3:30am when the last person left. Ok granted I dozed a little towards the end of the night, but that's not the point.

Well, I guess now I'm suppose to make New Year's Resolutions so here it goes:
1. I will be more cute than any other dog.
2. I will strive to have daily belly rubs.
3. Hugs and Kisses should be given out to those who are worthy of them and in abundance.
4. I will try not to eat the cats or scare them.
5. I will learn how to drop the ball on command.

I hope everyone has a great New Years and hopefully I will be able to continue to get access to Blogger!

Happy New Year's Everyone!
